practice how you see fit.

Capital

Slate Hill Partners is backed by a Family Office. As such, our capital is permanent. We do not have the constraints of managing our capital to an investment and harvest period, which in turn allows us to have greater flexibility.

Our Team

Joe Valdman

Managing Partner and Founder of Slate Hill Partners. Prior to founding Slate Hill, Joe was Head of Product Management at Cadence Capital Management (formerly a subsidiary of Pacific Life), Senior Managing Director at Foreside, and Vice President, ETF Securities (now WisdomTree). He has a BA from Purchase College.

Robert Shea

Chief Financial Officer. Bob also serves as CFO of Neos Investments and CFO Intersect Capital Management. He was previously Head of Finance and Operations and COO of Mirae Asset Global Investments. Prior to Mirae, he was CFO of Gradient Partners LP, Controller at P. Schoenfeld Asset Management, and Controller at Josephthal & Co. He started his career as Senior Accountant BDO. He earned a BS in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo and is a Certified Public Accountant.
